Travels in April and May

April 1, I flew to Charleston, South Carolina and got  together with my two sisters to enjoy the beauties and hospitality of the South. Julie had booked a lovely hotel (Planter's Inn) right in the center of things, and for the next three days we walked and walked and walked and walked (sort of like the pioneers) and talked and talked and talked. We went on walking tours exploring the old mansions and their gardens, visited a museum which told the slave story, took a carriage ride, learned about the history of Charleston, and tried several different restaurants. We even played some Quiddler, but I miss the bridge days of past get togethers. Miss my mom who usually went along on these girls' outings.

The night I  arrived home, I was able to attend the 50th wedding celebration for Dave and Connie Peterson (Rog's brother and wife). It was so fun to see all of their family and other family members, too.

I also took a trip to St. George with some childhood friends with the goal of seeing Donny and Marie Osmond at the Flamingo in Las Vegas. Thwarted when they cancelled the show and we were already there, but not to be deterred, we made reservations for another trip in August to see them, and just enjoyed our time together.

I'm still teaching gospel doctrine and enjoying family time. My daughter, Alisa, has moved home for a few months, and life is as good as it gets at any given moment. Love to all my friends and family. Another blog should be forthcoming in June.!
