More Summer Busyness, August 2024, Part One

It seems to be somewhat of a "revolving door" this summer...as one family leaves, another is soon arriving. Next on the docket was the annual visit of the Peterson-Olsen family, here for their annual camp and to visit me. One thing we like to do is go to the Springville Art Museum for their quilt show. It's always interesting to have the artist share the back story for the quilts.

The only things I planted in my yard this year were tomatoes and zucchini. I've eaten a lot of BLT's and quite a bit of zucchini, and have shared with neighbors and friends.

Summer Busyness July 2024

This certainly was a very busy summer with lots of travels and quick turn arounds to fit in all the planned activities. Shortly after we returned home from Africa, the "Peterson Hotel" was again open for business. Before the first of the family arrived, we enjoyed a visit from some Larsen's, and attended a retirement breakfast honoring a wonderful neighbor.

Rob and Tamsen and their family were the first to visit and stay for awhile. We celebrated Jana's birthday, the 4th of July with a neighborhood breakfast, played some family tennis, attended the temple, and enjoyed a family barbecue with a bunch of family.

July 8th, Tamsen and I took an Allegiant flight to Portland. We celebrated a late birthday for Emily and were able to go to the temple with her. It was a beautiful experience to share with them.

I went back home for a little bit and I'm so grateful to Lukas and Brett Larsen for putting my new grill together. The Traeger is quite fancy and we've enjoyed it so far. Looking forward to more barbecues.

One of my tennis playing friends just turned 90, so Juana and I went out to Payson to join in the celebration.

It was the beginning of events for the upcoming wedding of my grandson, Joseph Peterson to his sweetheart, Sage Patchell, It was wonderful to gather with friends and family to honor the couple.
