Spring 2025 ---So many changes

I managed to stay at home and enjoyed some snow and staycation time through March until just past the middle of May. I captured a few snow pictures, but I find I'm taking fewer pictures the older I get. We didn't have nearly enough snow this year which is impacting us this summer as we have hot and dry conditions. Hopefully next winter will enjoy better weather.

One of the first things I did upon my return  from New York was to attend the funeral for Dale Tingey, a 100 year old man who lived on my street. I took a picture of former friends from Salem, who were also friends with Dale, Roxie and Danae Bybee.

Another thing I I did in February to May was to remodel the downstairs bathroom. It was long overdue, so I think it was a good thing and I think company that comes will enjoy it.

And so it begins again

The last part of May was a bit crazy! I had four grandchildren graduating from high school (Davis, Colten, Tosh and Berit) and one granddaughter getting married in Mexico City (Lindsey to Alan Estrella). May 21st was Davis' graduation from Provo High.

The next day, I took a flight from Provo to Arizona where I attended the graduations of two grandsons. Colten and Tosh.

The morning after graduation, I was again on the plane, and this time headed to Mexico City for the wedding the following day. I had never been to Mexico City so I'd guess you'd call it a revelatory experience. There were so many people, so many cars, and everybody in a hurray...but no accidents...a miracle. The people were friendly.  It was a beautiful place with good weather...not too hot. We did have some rain but it was warm, so not much of a bother, although we did get ponchos as it was quite the downpour. Alan's parents hosted us and took us to the Pyramids one day and to a museum and to other various sites. They were just so kind to take us around the city and its environs.

And the party continues....we arrived back in Arizona and on to the next event...Lindsey and Alan's wedding open house. It was a lot of fun! The next day, we went with Colten and Tosh to the Gilbert Temple prior to going on their missions.  We celebrated Tosh's 18th birthday with a gamily dinner at the restaurant of his choice. The next day, I was again on the airplane, flying to Oregon to catch Berit's graduation from High school. What a great trip!

Well, this is a wrap! What a grand adventure it was to watch grandchildren graduate from high school and move onto new challenges; to see two grandsons move towards missionary experiences; to see a granddaughter marry her sweetheart and begin another phase of life. God is good and I'm grateful to be around to celebrate these changes.
