Life continues with its changing ways. A couple of Brewer granddaughters announced that they are expecting babies, one girl and one boy to Karlie and Ivan and Ashley and Nathan, respectively, in September and December...so I should have two more great grandchildren before the end of 2025. It's pretty exciting news for Sue and Duerk, who will become grandparents for the first time.
I was able to attend a lovely baby shower for Karlie.

Next on my docket was a trip to California in July. I first went with John, Julie and Emily to a portion of a Rett's Conference. It was quite the thing to see so many Rett's girls (and even one boy) all in one place and enjoying being together. We spent time at the beach and also the zoo.

After a few days in San Diego, I caught a train up to San Clemente and then took an Uber to the Marriott Newport Coast Villa to hook up with my girls (daughters and daughters in law) for a few additional days in California. We were able to play tennis, visit an art museum, enjoy the beaches in both Laguna and Crystal Cove, play some games, hot tub, eat lots of good food, and just talk and relax. I love my girls!

California was such a fun time. I love being together with family. The summer was now half over. There were a few more happenings that I want to remember including a trip JaneAnne and David made to my home for about a week. We shared an excursion to the Springville Art Museum for their annual quilt show. So many talented artists.
