A New Year, 2024, January to June

It's been such a long time since I've posted on my blog. I'm sure some of you had wondered if I was still here. Well, I am! In my older years, I've found myself taking fewer photographs, but do want to remember these months. I love my family and friends and enjoy all the activities that come from these associations, even if I forget to document it along the way.

January was the month that my grandson, Joseph began seriously dating a lovely girl, Sage Patchel. It was so fun to get to know her and soon her family. Sage had graduated from the University of Utah and was working on a Master's in English at BYU. It was fun for me because Joseph came down on several weekends to see Sage. He's living in Portland and attending OHSU Medical School.

February seems to be the time to get away from coldness to the warmer climes of Florida. We (my sister Kathi and her husband, John and me) made the trip and enjoyed a wonderful visit with Julie (my sister) and Jeff Parker. Trips to the beach and walks in the neighborhood, a lot of bridge, eating out and eating in, celebrating Julie's birthday kept us well entertained.

Once again back home, I find myself still taking pictures of Mount Timpanogos. It's such a glorious thing to see on our daily walks, and then there are always times with friends and family.

In March, I went down to Arizona to help with family during their Spring Break. Rob took Tamsen to Costa Rico to celebrate their 25th Anniversary and Sue and Family were helping out by taking care of the Peterson kids. It was a lot of fun and we took a few days to go to California and the Newport Coast.

After the interlude in California and Arizona, I was soon back home. Around St. Patrick's Day, I went to see an Irish Band for whom a friend (Sharon-top left) plays the fiddle. Nothing like bagpipes and Irish dancing to get you in a festive mood.
