Summer Busyness Seems to Never End, Part III

The last part of August and first part of September, I had some company from Oregon; Sofi moved in for the semester as she was now going to BYU; I took a walk with friends to Utah Lake. It's certainly improved since I went there as a teenager. I was able to attend the missionary farewell for Robert Yeritsyan. Rog and I became acquainted with this wonderful family when we served in Glendale (Arcadia Mission) for a short time before returning to Armenia. Funny coincidence was that Sofi had dated Robert Y. for awhile when she was going to the "U"so she also went to the farewell.

I had the opportunity to participate in the annual fundraiser for the Provo Library in a lunch/spelling bee. We got all the words spelled right but didn't have the monetary donations to win.

We get so excited when we get the spelling right!

We have a friend who has a lovely old convertible and she loves to take drives to see the fall colors. We were lucky to be able to tag along.

I made a trip to Arizona to catch one of Tosh's football games in October. We then drove to California for a week at Newport Coast. It was a fun time but unusually foggy. We went to the beach everyday anyway.

My bad...forgot about sun screen and weeks later I'm still peeling
After a week in California, I flew back home to Provo. Next on my agenda was a lunch with my long-time friends, some I've known since kindergarten. We are now all 82 and mostly still moving. I love these dear friends. Years ago when my Uncle Howard Bradshaw was alive, we often would go to the Salt Lake Country Club for lunch. The club is in the neighborhood where we all grew up. My cousin, Alan Bradshaw, made arrangements for us to go once again and it was so fun.

This is a beautiful tree in my neighborhood,
I love the changing seasons and the beautiful colors.

We had a mission reunion for just the Seniors who served in
the Washington Federal Way Mission at the home of the
mission president and his wife, Rob and Dianne Eaton, who
now live in Payson.

I was so happy that I was invited to a birthday party for some of the Fisher relatives who recently moved into my neighborhood. The parents of the family (Stephanie and Emerson Croxton) are Doug (my nephew) and his wife, Bea Fisher. It's been a long time since I've seen some of them, so it was fun!

And that's a wrap on the fall! More fun coming up as we get ready for Rob's 50th birthday celebration with a Peterson Family Band reprise and family reunion, followed by the wedding of Ashley Brewer and Nathan Bohn.

More Summer Busyness, August 2024, Part Two

It's finally here...Joseph and Sage are getting married...and we are so excited to celebrate with them. We headed to California and we enjoyed all the planned activities (Groom's dinner, Temple wedding at the Newport Beach Temple, and our first wedding reception) and, of course, time at the beach.
