It's a New Year 2019!

It's hard to believe that it is already 2019. The older I get, the faster the time seems to go. I think I keep saying that, but I think at my age, it's allowed. January has been a fairly typical month with family visits and some travel. I was barely back in town from Oregon when the Oregon Petersons came for some skiing and to drop off Joseph, who is now attending BYU after transferring from the US Naval Academy. It was so fun to have them come for a visit and it was nice that there was plenty of snow. Duerk and Sue Brewer came up for a short weekend visit and Lukas Larsen, who had turned eight, was baptized on that same weekend.  We also found time to watch Davis Maughan play a basketball game and we all played some of our "older" games, "catch phrase" and "Balderdash". Lots of laughs!

If you know me, you know that snow and cold are not my favorite, so it wasn't long before I headed to Arizona to enjoy the blue skies and warmer weather.

My time in Arizona was coming to a close. We scheduled a visit to Organ Stop Pizza. It was a first time experience for the Brewer family and we all enjoyed listening to the huge Wurlitzer and the nimble feet and hands of its player. And the pizza wasn't bad either. When Julie Peterson came to town to visit her folks, we had a fun girls only lunch date.

I arrived home just in time for an 8th birthday celebration for Merit Maughan. Merit had made macaroni and cheese at an earlier time and liked it so much that she wanted to have that for her birthday dinner. Delicious! Such a fun way to end the month!

Well, that's a wrap for the last couple of months. No adventures planned for awhile, so just regular living and loving it! Hope everyone else is doing the same!!!
